Just poured most of my feelings out on this one, worked on it, and well came about myself today, trying to find my inner emotions.

    dotsWisdom In Tearsdots

When advice no longer makes sense,
And we no longer swallow our pride,
We learn the meaning of consequence,
And we hear the words of wisdom cry.

    Attained by our ignorance,
    And guided by our failure,
We no longer smell life's pure fragrance,
So we have no choice to evade reality,
Like a journey long awaited by a sailor.

    Easily we reminisce,
To scenematic images of infant times,
Our lives become troubled and devilish,
So we've failed to read between the lines.

So we venture knowing we've made it this far,
Putting aside all of our fears,
Weeping our pain with teardrops that leave scars,
Only to find out that wisdom,
Is in the verge to shed a tear.

Ahhhh..sweet realization of ones self, displayed
    beautifully in this poem.
Human instinct to rise and fall, learning from it all..
    Very very well done

I thought the poem was overall really good except for the third stanza, it just seemed to kind of unravel and mess up your rhythm. But you redeemed yourself with 'Weeping our pain with teardrops that leave scars'... loved that line!

Very, very well-done piece of poetry. I could relate with the feeling of disappointment easily - it happens to me all the time when I really want to be uplifted, and your writing really conveys the heartbreak and the revelations that come with time and growth. I've always loved the concept of wisdom and how it is attained, so I find it interesting, to say the least, when someone writes about it in the manner that you did. Facing up to the truth of the matter is always important, and I believe your work made an excellent point on that. Wonderful job!
