    dotsI Rememberdots

    I remember when;
    you use to blow out candles on a cake.
    The way your voice sounded as you sang.
    How you use to dance away the pain.

    I remember you were a great mother.
    And that you were always there for me.
    I rememver you.

    I remember when;
    You would claim I drove you insane.
    The way you called me by my whole name.
    How you never stated you were ashamed.

    I remember the addictions that sickened you.
    And how they transfered to me at an early age.
    I remember the real you.

    I remember when;
    Your chest still moved with breathe.
    The way you handeled others death.
    How you lived life depressed.

    Most of all, I remember that day.
    And how your life bled away.
    I remember only cause I have to.
    Your gone.

      It sounds more like a song. Death, Love and War are the three realities that have the most overwhelming effect on human beings.

      I'm afraid this hit too close to home for me to say much. I lost my father two years ago and this was too much. I'm basically in shock and paralysis. I'm sorry. It is very touching when people writer stuff like this though.

      Wow. This is very moving. It brought tears to my eyes. Death is a very difficult thing to handle. Memories, on the other hand bring joy. Hold on to the memories and learn to embrace them like this poem states so beautifully.
