Shining
From the Dark, a star shines through,
Into the sky of cloudy blue
Across the heavens, shining bright
Cutting through the bitter night
Reaching out, it shows its light
To deepest depth to highest height
Outward goes its God sent glow
Searching for those lost below
Lying in the filthy dust
A small boy feels the slightest gust
He looks up to the shining star
And hopes that it is not too far
The light comes close, and sees the child
Torn and spoilt by evil's wilds
It reaches for the little boy
Who has no hope, He has no joy
He reaches out his tiny hand
To be pulled from the awful sand
And as the boy is lifted high
He lets go and begins to fly
His dusty hands, now white as snow
His face filled with a joyful glow
Disappearing are his scars
His hands now shining like the stars
Now he flies across the lands
Serving with his healing hands
And as he heals those in the night
They too begin to show their light
Across the skies a dawn is breaking
All around, the Earth is shaking
Lights are shining everywhere
With revival in the air
