    Description:
I would just like to mention first that this is not my topic of writing; I usually go for something darker...
I'm a Halloween mood, but I haven't written any recent poems about Halloween and this was the only one.
This was written a long while back....I was in fifth grade, just recently after I'd started writing poetry, and I had to write it for Halloween for school. My teacher at the time thought that because of this poem and another one that I had shown her, that I only wrote about death. Maybe that was what got me started on death. But anyways..this is my only funny poem, and it's not even that funny -_- The first line doesn't rhyme, but at the time I couldn't find anything that rhymed with "window."
And remember, it was written when I was little and stupid....

    -------------------------------------------

What is that scraping noise on the window?
Is it a tree branch or ghosts trying to get inside?
What is that squeaky noise on our backyard slide?
Is it our dog or ghost children playing outside?
What is that unusual noise in the ocean's tide?
Is it whales screaming or ghosts trying to hide?
What is that noise by your bedroom door?
Is it a scratch or ghosts crawling on the floor?
What is that thing at the foot of your bed?
    Is it a ghost?
    I think it is,
    We're toast!

YAYAY! This is hilarious. . . I think I might post some of my earliest works. . . they are scary too (no pun intended). I'm still not a very good rhymer though. . .
