    -------------------------------------------

    v:
He’s got a gun and wild eyes
And there’s nothing here but the sound of silence
And the rain keeps falling on this desert land
A war torn country without a plan

He’s got a gun and a razor blade
And he’ll die tonight without a name
And he’s found that innocence doesn’t mean a thing
What’s it matter if we all end up the same?

    Prec:
Pull the trigger and you’ll be okay

    c:
What a self-righteous way to die
Can’t you hear the angels singing?
They’re coming now to take you home
They’re gonna take what you’ve been missing
    Can we get some understanding?
    Can we get some sympathy?
    This soldiers gonna die tonight
But no one can hear him scream

    v:
    He’s got a gun and a family
And he’s got friends back in the USA
And he’s got a conscience that won’t let him sleep
Speak now or forever hold your peace

    Prec>c

    Bridge:

    v:
He’s got a dad that has a gun
And he wants to be like him when he grows up
And he don’t know what tomorrow brings
Child beware of when the blackbird sings

    c:
    Daddy died self-righteously
Now he can hear the angels singing
They’re coming now to take him home
They’re gonna take what he’s been missing
    What’s so hard ‘bout understanding?
    What’s so hard ‘bout sympathy?
    This soldiers gonna die tonight
But no one will hear him screaming
No, no one can hear them screaming,
No, no one, no one, no one…

*tear* this was sad. i feel so bad for all the soliers overseas. yet they know what they signed up for, to defend the country, and they die for a reason. its sad to think about though. good job.
