Trapped: The Tunnel at the End of the Light
Have you ever felt like you’re being trapped by the reality you live in, haunting you and choking you? Believe me when I say that it’s an awful feeling.
But how can anybody be trapped in or by reality?! Usually reality is your way out, but what if reality becomes your enemy?! It’s a weird yet complex feeling that can’t be easily explained by mere words.
The reality becomes a cage; restraining and crippling you by its endless limitations, and then hope becomes a luxury you can not have. And it seems that the only thing that might help you survive is your imagination. Not long you used to escape from your imaginations and fantasies by hanging on to the reality, you thought it’s your friend, you thought it will save you, but you find out that reality –over time- becomes the enemy.
You gradually start feeling it getting to you, the loneliness becomes unbearable, imprisoned by reality, and all you can see is darkness, it gets so dark that you stop seeing anything at all, surrounded by endless void suffocating you steadily, but it won’t kill you, not yet anyway, not until you give in and give up on everything you ever loved or believed in. You find yourself walking in a dark endless tunnel, and then you suddenly you think that there should be light at the end of the tunnel, there always is, and you start looking around, and when you turn back you find out that it’s the other way around; because you already passed the light long time ago and now you’re in the tunnel at the end of the light…
I’m not sure what can save us, someone once said “Love is gonna save us”, but I tend to disagree with that, I think it will take more than “love” to save us, I think our salvation lies in faith, then again it maybe just a little too late for us to be saved anyway.
“Dwell in neither reality nor illusions, because neither will save you. And remember that hanging on to hope may help you survive, but hanging on to faith just might lead you to salvation”
