Description: This is to my dad. Even though he's two thousand miles away he still influences my life every day. Let me know what you think.
To my Dad -------------------------------------------
a fathers love for his children is shown in his every move. He eats from the dollar menu so that he can buy them the things they want. Budgeting himself to 15 dollars a week for food so that they can have school clothes. This man known as daddy runs his car on a quarter tank of gas so that his teenage son can drive to school. How many sacrifices has this man made so that his children wouldn't have to sacrifice? Physical pain is a low hurdle to this man that he ovecomes everyday when he's at work. He has been in pain since before his children were born. The doctors couldn't do anything for him so he just keeps going, knowing it will all be worth it in the end. The day his oldest son went off to the army tears of pride filled his eyes. That's the only time his son has ever seen him cry. Although he is only five foot ten he is a giant in his children's eyes. A hero from a comic book, here to take all the fears and frustrations away. His son that left to the army is now a grown man with a family and a life of his own. His father taught him everything he needed to lead a good life and left him nothing to fear. That son has only one fear and that's disappointing the man who never disappointed him.......his father.
Wow. I know my dad sacrificed alot to me and wasin back pain for most off his life. that I've known him, becasue we went sledding and we all jumped on his back. but now that my parents are getting a divorce he thinks we hate him, becasue we dont answer when he yells at us, and mom thinks the same becasue we dont want to hear it when she tries to talk to us so we dont just get hit with it all at once. But I listen and I know more then they know and I do love them both and owe them more then I could give. Keep it up it;s an inspiration. Kacey
im happy to see all is not lost in raising our kids .parents go through alot to give their kids the things they want and need . your dad is a lucky man to have you for his son i wish i had a dad like yours
Oh my God im balling. ive never read a trueer poem.. I understand completely, all of your wording, and ways of writing it just makes me think of my Dad. What you wrote is soo true. ZIve never been as emotional as i am when I read this. Thank you... It really is great.
your father is what I call "a MAN", the true essence of a man isn't how tough he is, how many women he has, or how many material things he has acquired, the true essence of a man is how he handles his responsibilities in life, and it seems your dad has an A+, good for you and your family and I think he'd be proud of his son also, nice job...Bob:)
