My face is alight,
and Snow is all around me!
What beauty have I been blessed with this day
for my insignificant self is at natures mercy.
The love of all that is simple
such greatness comes in small numbers.
Snow falls around my cold feet.
I walk and leave my steps
But how wonderfully it warms the heart.
The mind awakens at the first sight of the
soft, frozen intricate weavings of heaven and water.
The earth is as hard as steel-
who has been in charge of preparing itself;
who in such fronts of vails and heaps
Bends and bows to the furious curiosity of the trees and their friends,
for snow itself.
Snow like kindess blankets the countryside
And even my best of friends choose to push it aside,
and cast it off,
nothing more then
trivial patterns of little value-
such as snow angels in
the deep white fluff.
For those of us who awake on the day
when the world around has changed
a white washed cushion to stop harshness of life,
Be happy and aloof
for that is the way snow intended it to be.
