    -------------------------------------------

    My face is alight,
and Snow is all around me!
What beauty have I been blessed with this day
for my insignificant self is at natures mercy.
The love of all that is simple
such greatness comes in small numbers.
Snow falls around my cold feet.
I walk and leave my steps
But how wonderfully it warms the heart.
The mind awakens at the first sight of the
soft, frozen intricate weavings of heaven and water.
The earth is as hard as steel-
    who has been in charge of preparing itself;
who in such fronts of vails and heaps
Bends and bows to the furious curiosity of the trees and their friends,
    for snow itself.

Snow like kindess blankets the countryside
And even my best of friends choose to push it aside,
    and cast it off,
    nothing more then
    trivial patterns of little value-
    such as snow angels in
    the deep white fluff.

For those of us who awake on the day
when the world around has changed
a white washed cushion to stop harshness of life,
    Be happy and aloof
for that is the way snow intended it to be.

I love to watch snow and all but then you have to shovel it and then I hate it. But The best thing over snow is watching it rain and thunder and lighting. There is nothing better. I loved this peice.

Oh, how I love snow. It is so beautiful and quiet. The first snowfall is so peaceful and at the same time exciting. You have captured it well.
Being in Arizona, I appreciate it all that much more when I see it (which is not often enough). Last year I lived in Washington and actually had a White Christmas. I was like a child on, well, Christmas Day.
    Great job, of course.

i cannot describe to you the joy in reading this that i recieve. this is exactly everything i want to say about snow, everything i try to say about snow, and everything i just don't say as well as you have. oh my, it is just so beautiful. in fact, it is snowing right now, right outside my den window...fat flakes torpedoeing around, but it's 34 degrees and the ground is not yet "steel", so it's not sticking. alas. i feel bad, because sometimes i curse my favorite precipitation, (i walk to school everyday and it gets nippy here) but when i get to school i sit around all day and stare out the window. i even try to use the courtyard during passing period although they lock the doors and i have to try to hook some sucker into opening them for me. sigh. thank you for your words.

my mind shouted 'hooray!' at the end. The whole world should see snow as 'intricate weavings of heaven and water.' (<-this brought out a smile.) I'm glad you included waking to the presence of snow, that is a great part of the beauty. Loved reading it.

Hmmmm, Not terrible. Although I think it may be a little intricate for such a simple beautiful thing. I don't think you really said much about the snow itself, it was more your feelings towards it. although there are a few lines about the snow itself.but over all it was decent. Not the best definetly not the worst. It made sense you just made it to complicated for the subject. Snow is avery beautiful thing and people do just simply cast it to the side without a second thought. Its good to know that people still appreciate some things in life. Keep it up fella. Good job.

I think this poem is very beautiful and i'm glad i took the time to read it...i really love the snow and i think we tend to take it for granted...your wording was beautiful and the imagery/metaphors were great...the flow seemed a little off here and there, but it didn't take away from the poem any...great job, sorry i don't have any truely helpful suggestions...keep up the good work
