In the Paris Society of the last district,
    in corroboration with Dr. Brewer
for the fifth verse of play!!

    Skipping to the evening muse,
    going to the big show,
    hop-scotching to the banquet
I found a gun in the red hankerchief
    of a Brigadier General

on the first verse of this rap
    High Paris Society was a'swinging
on us all with a red cap on,
    the Brigadier General is dead.

why do people think that every poem has to mean something, or have a message to it, or that it is a true account of an experience that writer had?

I ain't clearing up [censored] and I ain't explaining [censored]. this is for fun, this is for entertainment.

it doesn't mean anything secret, there is no hidden message.

it is simply a poem of entertainment.
