find the proper tuning

hello, hello, hello
come in, come in
are you listenting?
was the broadcast missed
or is it your antenna's off positioning

i'm offering my wisdom
through airwaves in simulcast
proffering my rhythms
it's true fair days never last
the clouds are mounting
they siddle up
to thunder off
in sequential pounding
torrential downpour
standing astride gravestones
making payphones into tent poles
to keep dead folks from drowning
there's a riddle to every action
every second sentence told
but very little satisfaction
in the first solver's third guess of gold
the most credit earned
in the worst breadth of term
the most useful notes burned
searching for leaf to wrap the herb
little moments
big victories
pitiful tokens
with thick histories
wishing well splashes
riding into sunsets
blinded by small silver flashes
but no one wished me well
ringing doorbells with my package in hand
like i was UPS
it's a delivary from evil
if you accept then sign here on my knotted flesh
you pressed the pen way too hard
to gain purchase
she would stretch her men way too far
to scratch a broader surface

and it still goes
hello, hello, hello
come in, come in
are you listening?
was the broadcast missed
or is it your antenna's off positioning?

mr. strange
