Tribute to a friends very beautiful and unique wedding.

Beach Wedding dots

-------------------------------------------

On the beach
All the guests standing
Dressed in their best
Resplendent under sunlight
While ordinary beach goers
Stood interested and stared.

Radiant in white
Veil carried by the wind
Crystal dipped toes.

She walks to meet him
He wears shimmering blue on black
His eyes seeing only her
As hers are blind to all but him
Their hands clasp together,
The world pauses.

Between fire, earth, air and water
Vows are promised with a kiss
Returning to face the waiting crowd
Guests rejoice to the sound of rolling waves
Throwing petals of congratulations
In the wake of the happy pair.

Actually My brother was married on the beach in San Diego, it was fun and I was honored to have my other brother read a poem I wrote for them called " the Bridge of Life".

Now what made it special was I didn't know I had these two brothers for 33 years.

Your have a graceful style to your writings.

  Mmmmm. . . dreamy poem for absolutely no doubt. I love "crystal-dipped toes". How cool of a line is that? I really liked that; I've always wanted to have a beach wedding or an outside wedding of sorts, though it probably won't happen. Beautiful imagery, I'm sure your friends really appreciated it.

  Beautiful. Made me think of my two friends that were married on a beach. The joining of two souls in holy matrimony is a very sentimental, powerful thing to write about. And, you've done it well.

  I loved this! Just the other day I was thinking about how cool it was to have a night wedding with a light up walkway that I would come down but this sounds so awesome! You described this very vividly. I loved the love the two had you described. :) Great piece. You should share this with them. They would cherish it for years.

  I felt there were some wonderful passages in here where the imagery was breath-taking and the world did in fact seem to pause. Then in other places it became a bit to much of on the "tell" side of things. The highlight for me was the veil caught in the wind. Excellent beginnings
