    dotsLetting Go And Saying Good-Byedots
    -------------------------------------------

As I struggle to let you go
into the world of the unknown
I watched you slowly walk away
wishing that I wasn't here today
I want to be by your side
and use you as my guid
I think I'll be lost without you,
if only you'd think the same way to
On my birthday I sat alone
and spoke in a very eary tone
    hating everyone and everything
wishing that your love didnt' mean a thing
but thats the problem it did
I even cried like a little kid
but i actually had people that cared
they were there for me when I was sad, happy or scared
I almost lost some because of you
I guess our love wasnt' so true
    We talked about getting married
Now I'm thinking of the kids i coulda carried
My future use to look beautiful
now I can't even wait for my funeral
    we coulda grew old together
you coulda kept me warm in cold weather
    Well this is good-bye forever

Good job describing what a lot of people have failed at. Great descriptions of the mixed feelings the go with a break-up. From a guy's perspective, I felt a lot like that with my X. It's really hard to look to the future, but it's still bright.

awwww man... ive read so many break up poems on this site and some of them have been absolute crap but this was good... im glad you are moved on and happy now and its always interesting to look back to these moments of our lives and see just how far we have come.
you got a few spelling errors in here... nothing too big though... when i read the first coupla lines all i could think of was that line "and when you leave... walk away backwards so i can fool myself you are just arriving..." watching someone walk out of our lives can be the most painful thing ever... thanx for sharing

aww... let me guess, Ryan? I think you have been thinking about him a little much lately, but hey, you can't help it... I think about my ex also... you know... but anyways, this is very good, it has a terrific flow, but not a whole lot of imagery, I think that it would be more interesting and more grabbing if you described some of your feelings with colors and textures. Great job
