Some people need to be verbally abused. My Defense is good at this.

    You didnít stop to help
    When I started bleeding.
    Yet youíve asked me before
    If Iím still breathing.
Iíve felt your hand on my shoulder,
    Your fingertips on my wrist,
    But never before such
    Chivalrous deeds as this.
I called out your name and pleaded,
    Demanded to you, confided,
    ďKill him.
    Break his face.
    ÖMake something better.Ē
Minutes later I find that you
Have defended me and all our hearts.
    Just like other times
People have torn us down in letters.
And now that Iíve seen the
    Fire in your eyes.
I do not question your defense of me,
But I start to doubt the disguise.

so i got parts of it, but i don't get the end about the disguise, was that how you meant for it to be?
i like the format. the poem itself confused me some, so i have no opinion really. but i like the general idea, yes i do. keep up with the writing.

Well, I'm not sure I completely get it, but this is what I'm thinkin. You're talking to your "defender" after someone has "beaten" you down in some way. Maybe this person is not completely honest about how they feel about you, yet you don't doubt they care, but now you're starting to see their true feelings. If I'm right (even if I'm not), could this be about a certain junior who is quite tall with short blonde hair? And I am NOT talking about Josh, lol.

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
