    Description:
Okay, so i just love writing. Let me know what you think. Oh, and does anyone know the correct adjectival form meaning 'of, like or pertaining to Babel (i - the place where the tower was when all mankind spoke one language)'?

    -------------------------------------------

A phrase can be as descriptive
    As a thousand pictures
Some things can only be said with a word
There can be a verse more pleasant to the ear
Than any symphony youíve ever heard
    Or ever hope to hear

    Pure symphonic perfection
    Translated to the page
Writing the beauty of those notes
    That echo down the age

    Soaring to epic new vistas
    My language gives me wings
It gives me that sacred skill
To be able to describe all things

    A Babelian mastery
Of the languages common to mankind
    The language of the thoughts
That dwell within each human mind
Searching for a way to attain
This skill and make it mine

I paint on a white lined canvas
    My paintbrush is a pen
I paint the panorama of the ages
Tell the story of all men

    I wield my ink-filled weapon
The pen is mightier than the sword
    Impacting with a subtle rhyme
    My weapon has been forged

    The language of life
Iíve known it from the start
    But my entire life changed
When I realised words are art

Wow. This was extremely well written. I love the way you start it off:

A phrase can be as descriptive
    As a thousand pictures
Some things can only be said with a word
There can be a verse more pleasant to the ear
Than any symphony youíve ever heard
    Or ever hope to hear

This was my most favourite stanza. Itís so true, some people say a picture is worth a thousand words. Thatís not true at all. And neither is it mathematically. Apart from the simple 1 doesnít equal 1000, hereís proof:

Letís say the Lord Of The Rings [the first one] had about 100 000 words. The movie was about 3 hours long. So at 24 frames per second for 60 seconds a minute and 60 minutes per hour, for three hours means we saw 259 200 pictures. So technically, that makes the movie worth 259 200 000 words. But since people found the book more rewarding and detailed [which it is], that means that the total worth of words in the movie has to be 99 999 or less. So 99 999 divided by three hours, over sixty minutes per hour and sixty seconds per minute and 24 frames each second, we get that a picture is worth 0.3857986 words, and I think all writers can agree that if we got a thousand words to describe a picture, we can bring the picture to life more than any artist ever could dream to.

    But I digress
Itís very true, that one stanza. But of course, all the others are simply awesome as well. It tells a story about how it is to tell a story. Very few people can do that. This was amazing.
    Another favourites addition o_O

So far this the best written rhyming poem I have read on this site. so very tight, no feeling of being forced. No it wasn't suppose to be so overpowering meaningful poem, Though you gave this simple message poem sip of that power with your great usage of rhyme. I can't rhyme one bit and so many rhyming poems sounds so forced, bravo

    I really like this stanza:

    A Babelian mastery
Of the languages common to mankind
    The language of the thoughts
That dwell within each human mind
Searching for a way to attain
This skill and make it mine

And this was my fav line:I paint on a white lined canvas
