I thought it was a safe haven,

A place to open up and express
    myself freely,

And for sometime escape the arguements, fear, and loneliness of home,

    Yet while being there noticing,

Day after day i just simply didnt fit in with the popular crowd,

So from there on i was seen and labeled as a loner with very few friends,

But also just seen as "Brittanys sister",

Like a name or identity did i not have,

In my mind that place was one of comfort, support, and care,

Its been 2 1/2 years since i graduated from that place,
    Called CPHS,

Through those halls sometimes kids laughed and stared,

But through it all i knew deep down inside who truly loved me and was forever standing near me,

Protecting and sheilding me from the heart wounds of their laughs, whispers, and stares,

Knowing who i am was not determined by them but by God almighty.

high school sucked, i felt the same as you, must be this minnesota air! haha kidding, this happens way to often and unfortunately not many see the picture they should. god will love us no matter what we become. for he is all that matters. his love is all we need to survive this thing called life. our jouney will complete when we are given the chance to hug him and thank him for all he's done for us. what a great reminder of how powerfull his love is, i needed that, i really did! thank you***

good reminder to all of us that it is God, not others, who really defines who we are...alot of times, we tend to let other people's opinions rule ourr lives when in reality, they are just opinions! thanks for the good write...keep it up!

I want to start by saying that only one person will judge you. You know who it is. They in return will be judged. Always keep your head up. Those who make fun of others and talk about others are usually very insecure with themselves. Know that you are everything you can possibly be and accept that within yourself. Let others think what they want. This was a great piece. The thing I like most is you made it positive in the end. You showed that no matter what there is someone that appreciates you and loves you. That one person is worth more than popularity.

Think Feedback more than Compliments :: [ Guidelines ]

    1. Be honest.
    2. Try not to give only compliments.
    3. How did it make you feel?
    4. Why did it make you feel that way?
    5. Which parts?
    6. What distracted from the piece?
    7. What was unclear?
    8. What does it remind you of?
    9. How could it be improved?
    10. What would you have done differently?
    11. What was your interpretation of it?
    12. Does it feel original?

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
