The quote at the top was my semi inspiration...the other was a friend threatening suicide after we broke up...It's scary to think I could mean so much to one person..

I'm sorry

“What I really meant to say is I’m sorry for the way I am. I never meant to be so cold.”
-From "Cold" by Crossfade

I’m sorry,
I didn’t mean to hurt you
I didn’t want you to cry
I never wanted you to threaten to die…

I’m sorry,
Put down the gun
Come back into my arms
I don’t really love you
But I’ll play pretend a little longer if it’ll keep you alive

I’m sorry
I couldn’t kiss you when you came down to see me
And that I couldn’t say that I loved you
Or that you’re my ‘one and only’

I’m sorry,
Cuz I can’t play games any longer
My heart’s not with you
And it’s killing me to lie

I’m sorry,
But it’ll be okay…I promise….
…please put the gun down…

I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry

This is one of the saddest poems i ever read on here. My heart does go out to you and your friend. I hope things do get better. I think this was a wonderfully written poem. It has so much emotion in it, but i kind of see some anger mixed in. It was well written. This person doesn't belong in a relationship if he can't accept what may happen after. I mean people change right. I hope everthing goes well for you.

Good job portraying this horrible took a saddening situation and turned it into a nice flow of words and I applaud your efforts. Even though your tone and mood was so dark and remorseful, I enjoyed reading this...nice images...I can see this guy crying and cradling the gun waiting to make that final move. I know you were deep within a wave of emotion when writing shows in your descriptions. Very touchy, very sad...but I like it.

This reminds me of a crazy baby momma or something. They can't ever just let go. I know a few. This was well written. I don't see anything that really needs worrying/changed. Keep it up.

i enjoyed reading this piece. it was a great write and i'm sorry about your friend. it must suck because he's in a hospital now, but it's not completely your fault if a person can't handle the trials of a relationship.
