He just stood there Amidst the plains of anticipation Not a blink, not a movement He remained firm on his ground The blinding rays Casting down on him A spotlight on his stage That witnessed his character He eyed his audience and felt their whispers Their scorching mockery Echoed through his skin Deprived of attention He did not submit to them Eyes fixed at a distance To avoid their lifeless gaze Desperation crept into his veins As the sound of nothingness prevailed He shuddered beneath his sweat Longing for deliverance Seconds of breathing Minutes of impatience Hours of anxiety But all he needed was a moment Just a moment.
