    dotsTempest for the Damneddots
    -------------------------------------------

    The clouds of omen gather
    Bringing skies, metallic grey
    Colliding storm-fronts of redemption
    Hide the light of day

    The rain comes pounding down
    Just like biblical times
I bathe in its pure water
And it washes away my crimes

    The brutal blowing gale
    Whipping out a howling din
    Blows right through my soul
And it takes away my sins

    I look at my reflection
In the puddles on the ground
And bask in the soaking glow
Of the freedom I have found

    The lightening in the sky
    That always flashes bright
    Lighting the path to salvation
I know that it is right

    Lightening flashes overhead
    The thunder claps ovation
    The thunder shouts its presence
    And announces my salvation

    Following the lightening
    The rolling thunder booms
    Hanging just above my head
    Absolution looms

    Another crack of lightening flickers
    It lights the onward path
The path that finds the future
In the joy within my heart

The storm of freedom rolls on
    No one can escape
    Having sins washed away
    Is all of mankindís fate

It is the storm of freedom
    The tempest for the damned
    It gives me my power
My life is in my hands

in spite of what everyone else says, i wouldn't change a thing, "f_ck 'em all" -in the words of Pantera. follow your heart and your sky and you will find what you need whether it involves somebody else or just solely, only, lonely you. you will make it without any help from others, you may never have another person offer their hand but there will always be feet to step on, step on their feet and then step on their backs to climb to the top, and the top is where you will be. follow your heart and the sky will guide your soul...best wishes, sincerely -sinmore

I'm amazed. This is going into my favourites for sure, it's just so incredibly awesome...

    The clouds of omen gather
    Bringing skies, metallic grey
    Colliding storm-fronts of redemption
    Hide the light of day

Whoa There's like...so much in here. If taken literally, I can picture a field...rather, a prairie being covered by clouds so thick that even the light of the sun has become completely obscured.

    The rain comes pounding down
    Just like biblical times
I bathe in its pure water
And it washes away my crimes

And then this comes in, which makes me take it more as a metaphor; that the person seeks divine redemption, and that the rain is the will of the heavens above.

    The brutal blowing gale
    Whipping out a howling din
    Blows right through my soul
And it takes away my sins

This seems to tell me [from the way you describe the wind] that the absolution comes with a price, or punishment.

    I look at my reflection
In the puddles on the ground
And bask in the soaking glow
Of the freedom I have found

    The lightening in the sky
    That always flashes bright
    Lighting the path to salvation
I know that it is right

    Lightening flashes overhead
    The thunder claps ovation
    The thunder shouts its presence
    And announces my salvation

This is sort of like path of the righteous, having turned to the lighter path, and beginning to embark upon it.

    Following the lightening
    The rolling thunder booms
    Hanging just above my head
    Absolution looms

    Another crack of lightening flickers
    It lights the onward path
The path that finds the future
In the joy within my heart

The storm of freedom rolls on
    No one can escape
    Having sins washed away
    Is all of mankindís fate

Now it's done, the path has been walked, the light has been seen, and now there's only one thing left to change inside the person:

It is the storm of freedom
    The tempest for the damned
    It gives me my power
My life is in my hands

Exactly, and it's a newer insight to what is, even though the world itself has not changed, the person has changed to match the world and defeat the evil in it.

Awesome piece, truly awesome. It's going into my favourites, like I said.
    Keep it up!

I would not change a thing. Truly a piece that made my breath come rapidly as I read it. When we realize that it is not for someone else to baptise us but for us to take our lives in our hands. Please never quit writing.
