This is a reflection about my Heavenly Father.

You Were There

You were there the whole time,
but I just turned away.
I tried to give you all the blame,
tried to hide my shame,
and hold onto my pride.
But you were there.

You're there when I need you,
and when I think I don't.
Your love is fully
unfailing and undeserved.
You see me through a veil of scarlet
which colors me pure white.

I was there
when they hung you
on that cross.
My name
was on your mind
with your last breath.
I was there
mocking you,
mys sin held you on the cross.
It was for me
that you died.
I was there.

wow Amanda! This was one of the most moving and powerful things I have read! I might just cry! That was so beautiful. I can say the same things that you said...I feel like it was me there mocking Him while He died for me. It was my sin that put HIm there. But this poem offers more than guilt. You painted the mind-blowing grace of God so wonderfully! I loved it Mandalyn! This is an extreme fav!
God Bless Ya!
