i think it's better than you realise, you have been too hard on yourself with this one. i really can't think of any way to improve it, it's perfect as is.
wait a minute...if you wanted to be really pedantic you could make sure the white space between the stanza's was even. there you go. you can't get more fussy than that :o)
Often a smile or a lugh can lift your spirits. Especially if you are hearing it from some one that you truly admire. It's funny how sometimes the littlest thing can bring you out from the sadness and once again shine some joy.
i really like this alot! i know that alot of poeple feel this way. i know some people who can smile and i just HAVE to smile too ;) its a great thing and you have brought out its beauty. Your form and wording is very nice along with your rhyming.

Wow, I know exactly how you feel. We have a few friends...and every time I'm not feeling that good or just feeling down and we go over there...I'm pretty well instantly snapped out of my mood. They just always seem so cheerful and they're always joking and laughing. Laughing is freakin awesome! You did a great job on this!
