this sounds very negative until the last line. but it's not... the distance, i'm trying to say, has made me stronger, more independent. I still need the presence of him, his reassurance, his beauty... but because i am away from him, i've come to rely on myself more and more. a good thing eh? *sigh* i'm not a poet, i can never put into words what i want to say!!!!!!!

Dust of Longing

Oh the
Dust of the longing
I once felt
For someone like you.
Now i've got you.
Now it is dirt.
I once felt
Such a swell
Of need
For the strength
Of your presence,
Your reassurance...
Your beauty.
Now it is dirt.
And i love being dirty.
