    dotsThat Which Ails Medots

    That which AILS me,
    How you betray my trust,
    Then act like it's nothing,
You turn your brown eyes away,
Teasing with thoughts of your kiss,

    That which AILS me,
How you focus on the status quo,
Instead of telling me how you feel,
But when I express my depth,
    You suddenly doubt me,

    That which AILS me,
    How other lips and hands,
    Capture your gaze and mind,
And if I look to warmer waters,
I'm the one who isn't true.

What ails all of us is that we wish people to be what they are not. If we choose someone then we must accept the bad as well as the good. I love the way that this flows when I read it aloud. I also can understand the problem of not being able to express the depth of your soul. I have never been able to understand why we crave physical fidelity in our partners. I would rather my partner have sex with someone else than to use someone else as their confident and soul mate. But that is just me.
