Don't call me a Scrooge (though one I may be)
For Christmas has never quite meant much to me.
It isn't the presents, it isn't the songs,
It's just that for me Christmas does feel all wrong.
I do love to give (and receive some things too)
And I'll probably give a delightful present to you!
But alas, it does seem
That if only just for me,
Christmas does nothing, you see...
But a Merry Christmas anyway,
And a Happy New Year's just the same! |
