let's give them a month
to celebrate their culture
that's all we need to do
to cover up the vulture
that ate their souls
and preyed upon their dignity
raped and enslaved them
only to declare they were free
granted we need to do something
for we fumbled the King thing
so fuck it, give'em a month
to talk of "let freedom ring"
it's such a small price to pay
to apologize as a nation
for the atrocities committed
through oppression and degredation
it will have to be unamimous
or we'll look like complete fools
it'll be hard getting the south
where johnny rebel still rules
ah damn what shall we propose to trade
how bout inner city educational cuts
yeah, they'll go for that
no ifs, ands, or buts
so it's settled then
we shall pay homage
by giving them a month
to soothe their rage
redirect their focus
and hatred towards us

that occurred in congress concerning
the bill to pass "black history month"
but this is what I imagined.....
