elegence, like virtuosity, is practices reward,
fire in speech can leave men awed....
but is power and words enough?
to make a mark in todays world, luck
seems all that is needed, gold and muck
do indeed come from the same shaft..
sometiimes, though, the gold is discarded,
or so it seems,
and forced to give up their dreams,
and muck is given voice to speak....
as if a carver, working, puts hand to a block of teak,
and finds to dismay mere rotten wood,
gods experience here must tell....
if only his work is flawed as well....
