    dotsStrangely Surprisingdots

    Life is full of surprises
    Blown at you
    Like a summer breeze
    Thick and un-breathable
    An unhealthy air
    Light and heavenly
    like a breath of fresh air
    After a spring's mist
    A feeling kicks in so strong
    That it knocks you
    Out of your comfort zone
    Out of that zone
    Where everything is in its' place
    Where you know what to expect
    When to expect it
    And from whom
    There's fierceness
    In the blanketed world
    Starving to be let out
    For you to succumb
    To be over whelmed and give up
    Give in...
    then there is this brightness...
    Full of all aspects of your world
    And a hint of warning
    A new jig saw
    Formed and re-knitted
    To allow you to see past
    Open doors and closed windows
    to see further then today
    And live in tomorrow
    Life isn't like that
    There are good days and bad
    Cool remarks on sunny days
    Out of reach from where you expect
    You are scared of tomorrow
    And frightened of today
    What a surprise

      sort of a stream of consciousness poem, I think. I like the last three lines most of all.

    'You are scared of tomorrow
    And frightened of today
    What a surprise'

    and it so does describe life.

      Hm - no reason to be scared of both today and tomorrow - thas just pessimism. At least one of em has a shot at being good. That little comfort zone thing just keedps gettin smaller ya notice that? It seems now all I gotta do is shiver a little and i've flown on out. Curses. Funny thing tho, i think ppl are really just scared of life in general - makes no sense wen u think about it cuz if ur still thinkin you've survived thus far, but hey, humans don't make all that much sense on the balance anyhow. to me surprisings aren't like the airy breeze or that miasma. they always like jsut a shocking blizzard - good or bad i'm shocked to s[censored].

      The element of surprise still hasn't made its way into the periodic table - ostracized, I say... But as for your poem, maybe you should include something strange - that is to say surprising. That way, the reader can relate better.
