I wrote this last year... it's about summer, swimming, punk shows, parties; inspired by the feeling of jumping off a bridge into the river.

barefoot freefall

Flashback Memories,
Sun encloses me,
blankets warm as sleep,
summer infinity.

Bottled apologies,
but midnight harmony,
rage: it comes and leaves,
youth is savagery.

Borrowed cigarettes,
burned-out silhouettes,
dancing, out of breath,
remember, no regrets.

Barefoot freefall,
gravity stalls,
water magnatized,
close your eyes.

  'rage: it comes and leaves,

i love these lines. no sugar coating, right to the point.

we only get one chance in adolesence and it's full of excitement, fear, touch, a rollercoster of emotions, and this poem is like a glimpse, a slide show of your teenage mind. it's awsome.
