Description: A poem excerpt from my latest work. xD
I made it on a whim, though spent quite an amount of time with it. It's meant to sound like some sort of demented nursery rhyme. so don't ask about the last line.
Just extra info: The Red Lord is a cannibal who likes to eat children. "Off with our heads" is an idiomatic expression in a sense, they meant that they were going to die, not they were going to get they're heads cut off. The Red Lord would do that post-mortem.
Dementia is fun and no I am not disturbed, but I sure do hope YOU find it disturbing.
The Red Lord -------------------------------------------
The Red Lord is kind to us tonight
He let us out much, to our delight
He takes little children like us
And off with their heads if they ever make a fuss
He goes ‘round to slay
Just like a game to play
Although he may seem grim and gloomy
We’re so sure he’s still quite a loony
Oh no! Oh no!
Here he comes, we must go!
Before he kills us all once more
And we bid each other bye-bye before turning to the door.
whoa dude, cool man! No i'm not really like that, however i do like it, deffinately original, however it fealt kinda short, not froced, but in any event left me hoping for more
I like the demented nursery rhyme idea here. Kind of going back to the Grimm's roots, where all stories weren't the sweet "happily ever after's" they are today. The underlying humor made it a bit more disturbing and you didn't even have to use gore. Just a hint of something to come. Very good idea. Good job
Im not sure if I like this pome or not...There is alot that is going on here...But I garentee that if You write this down on paper a few times more then you will be able to add to this poem and make it GREAT!
