    Description:
       this is to my brother.

its not really poetry, it's more complicated thoughts...slightly symbolic, slightly metaphorical...mostly just complicated.

advice on how to channel my thoughts better would be welcome.

if you read this, brother, i hope you understand it better than i do

    dotsThe Pretense of Idolsdots
    -------------------------------------------

You worship idols quiescent upon leaden pedestals
But the pedestals are pretentious, and painted with gold
The glorious blazing of the sky
    That your eyes bore into
When straining your sight so high
Illuminates possibilities and the halo of aspirations and chances glows upon your gods, so that you cannot see what is bare before your eyes
But those towering gods to whom all things Sacrifice to
    And for
    And because of
Your deities are false and blown of glass
And placed so loftily, looking down fragile noses that cannot smell
    They are not infallible
    They are not invincible
    They are not real
They shall plummet, and shatter utterly
Mirror images of your face in the scattered pieces will be reflected
Indistinguishable in it’s quest for comfort
Through the looking glass, Truth slaps you in the face
    Or perhaps me
    And you could see
But reflections of the counterfeited rainbows the borrowed light gives birth to burs what should be so sincere
The Truth waits patiently, ever steadily, ever unwavering
But you, blind and blissful in ignorance, you put it underwater to drown
    And to halt the world
And make your conscience in your head inaudible
But as the resilient beams of your world splinters
Your life shall wear out and collapse and smash the bits and pieces into infinity
And those fictitious idols, that sham and scheme
Will not be there to help
    Pick up the pieces
