Description:

The poem just about say's all that needs to be said.

Peace of mind

Have you had cold showers of pain
My friend, you've stood in my rain.
Deathly feelings of loneliness
No need to feel shameless,
We've all been there before
Not wanting to feel anymore.
Your hearts been broken in half
Mind still living in the past.
Cold dark thoughts of suicide
"Why don't I do it tonight?"
Don't worry it will go away
Learn to love another day.
Put it to the back of mind
Let it rest and you will find
Dark clouds begin to part
New love will mend the heart
Thoughts of suicide will disappear,
Self-esteem will reappear,
One day you'll be able to say
My friend you've stood in my rain.

This is really good. We do all feel this sometimes I guess, but not everyone can just push it away they harbor it and hold it for good. It is for those people that we must worry. Your poetry is wonderful. It has been a long time since I have been able to find so many favorites written by on person.

Very intriging and thought producing write here.
This is what I was speaking about, in your fine ability to write. A lot of scenery placed into the minds eye, with much feeling. I like this, and you have reason to be proud. The best part as far as I'm concerned is"New love will mend the heart"-"Self esteem will reappear"-hence -
Peace of Mind!. Write on my young friend, you are really an inspiration, one I hope catches on around here.

Thanks also for reading 'Tower of Light', war is such a sad event, but at times so nessassary so that Good might overcome Evil and crush it if even for a short time.

My friend, fantastic!... What can i say about this piece...i mean, i can't find award that exceeds brilliant, amazing, beautiful...I love this poem, absolutely...If you don't mind i'll add it to my favorites... It has a a perfect flow with the rhymes you chose to use, and the message that you get across is so beautiful and inspiring...I try so hard to get such messages across with my work, but i don't believe i've written anything as brilliantly told as this...You really know how to relate my friend...Very good job, thank you so much for this piece, and for allowing us to read your heart through the emotion that you put into it...Bravo!, fantastic...Thanks again and i hope to hear from you...Adios!   You really write well, its a bit dark for my taste, but I've done the flavour. In fact I have a pot of black ink specially kept for the purpose. Read some of The Gadfly's stuff, he'll cheer you right up. Good job.

this piece is cool... not like a short to the point, but long enough to be short and not overdone... like one of those songs that is 15 minutes long with minimal singing. Mind if I throw some chords at this? I'd probably toss the repitition of suicide and use a metaphor for a storm or something to keep the rain effect... kick as.s piece

you now,the more I get older the more I stuggle to surrender all this because,as you gorgeously expressed, this deep sadness can't lead anywhere good
