    Description:
I'm just trying to wrap togther ideas of how my generation is slightly racist yet says the word Nigger often and hasn't even experienced racist events in their lives.

When called nigger we strike in large groups
Retaliate with force and unite in troops
Quick to throw a punch or pull a trigger
Then look our brothers in the face and say “wats good nigger”
Then rebuttal with our predecessors from what we say
And say it’s different because “ours ends with A”
My own generation wears clothes from empty shelves
And don’t hold fights with our enemies only ourselves
Some remain racists and repeat the trend
And never meet other races, afraid they’ll befriend
But I’ve had racism in my life second none
I’ve been called a Nigger face to face one on one
I’ve had more racism in my life since the age of five
Than someone has for twenty years they were alive
I remember being degraded because of my race
And all because I was black having doors slammed in my face
My dreams where clipped young I was never told to soar
And because I’m black it’s ok that I get followed in stores
Eyes would look through blinds as I walked in the street
As soon as I turned my back dogs would come loose from a leash
And escort me home everyday, same beat same drum
Then bricks in my windows saying “go back to where you came from”
So when my youth talks of white people and their actions
I get upset every time and give negative reaction
Cause the other race may be the one to start it first
But what I get from my own people is far more worse

Original subject matter to discuss. Your rhyme is excellent and what you write of is deadfully true. This one really pours from your heart doesnt it? This will be added to my favs. Thanks for sharing!

The word spoken are so true. Many of us who are African-American degrade our own race as well as others. But other races also do the same. We need to learn to be together and for each other. Great poem.

wow. that was sooo good. and makes u think. i myself have been raised in a racist family and have conquered it by being the exact opposite. i could actually see an innocent some one walkin down the street and getting those reactions. very sad to think about but u did an excellent job. ~cat~
