There came upon a stubby stump
A frog so green, atop he did jump
Wearing a ridiculous little crown
As if prince charming I had found
He ribbited and hopped in place
A saddened look he had on his face
Could he be a prince behind those warts of green?
Without a kiss, t'would be unforseen
Shall I try? Or walk away?
Seems such a tiny price to pay
A kiss for a prince, I believe it could be
I wonder if he'd even marry me?
Oh what the heck, I'll certainly try
Though if I get warts, alas I would cry
So to this frog, my lips did meet
A simple gesture, warm and sweet
A cloud of smoke puffed before my eyes
A prince here stood, a fairytale no lie!
As I spoke, to say hello
A ribbit from my lips did flow!
How could this be? How awful a fate!
Then the prince just waved....there went my date!
