    “Always in All Ways”
The last showing of the movie is over
Can we hope it’d be outshined by a sequel?
Sad it always seems that the feelings first felt
Will be the ones unparalleled without equal
Now its time for us to go our separate ways
But tell me which way you take to get home
Tell me do you really think you can find it
Should I tag along so both of us won’t walk alone

Can’t help to thinking when laid down together and
The world was miles away and I was ten miles high
I was untouched by worry with no cares in my life
Except for how you’d feel when I would leave your side
Only to be back again tomorrow, but no, not anymore
Because we’ve grown so distant from each other inside
But not so far that I don’t still feel you and begin to hope
Reincarnation is real and maybe I’d get it right next time

But who is going to be there when you’re lonely
And who will be a man when they need to be
Who will let your tears fall soft on their shoulder
Who do you see yourself with
When getting gray and face begins looking older
    Is it me?
Who do you want it to be?
Cuz I love you always in all ways and
I’ve never been one to ever change

The circus carnival has since been over
And whose going to be there when you’re down
You take a look around at the painted faces
And see nothing but actors and smiling clowns
You love to laugh and they love to make you smile
But does it last and how far deep does the feeling go
When dancing to the music of a familiar stranger
Can you look at them and
Say you’ve ever felt truly home?
    Have you ever?

But who is going to be there when you’re lonely
And who will be a man when they need to be
Who will let your tears fall soft on their shoulder
Who do you see yourself with
When getting gray and face begins looking older
    Is it me?
Who do you want it to be?
Cuz I love you always in all ways
I’ve never been one to ever change

    Is it me?
Who do you want it to be?
I want it to be me
    The only one you see
Who will always in all ways
    Be the one loving you

Aaron, this was awesome. More poetic than lyrical in my opinion because lyrics would be more concise but there can be no other complaints aside from that. Lovely word usage throughout, especially in the title and nothing else really to say. Awesome write.

      see see see!
    Now THIS one I looooove.
    It's beautiful in it's darkness.
A dark poem that's shining...if that makes any sense.
I don't know you personally, so I am just saying the poem(as a poem) is good... not ur pain.lol...just to make that clear.
    keep it up
    much love, kris

such longing here Aaron. the last two lines got me a bit misty... i imagine the music with a soft acoustic lead, weeping. *sigh*

the end of a relationship can ache like nothing else and you find yourself wanting to be back in that first flush of love and discovering each other. i can feel the pain here so acutely. you have a very tender heart, Aaron.

i always tell my girl that i love her, all ways. i like that you used that here. i'm glad to see you are still here and posting your sweet/bittersweet songs.

Completely moving...I agree with The last person about the "THE" in the second stanza it should be taken out. Other than that it's perfect, I wouldn't change anything else. You really captured you heart and soul in this piece. I just wanted to say that whatever you're going through, there is, and has always been a person who cares about you. He saw you from the very first, and made you and cares about YOU exactly the way you are. His name is God. I know it sounds dum, stupid, whacked religious and everything else...but honestly...It doesn't make sense we evolved from monkey's or that our exsistance is by chance. It also not fair to condemm an idea until you've studied, and learned about it...BEFORE you form an opinion about it. If you want to learn more about what I'm talking about just push reply, I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Zoe
