    dotsYou Saydots

    You say "I hate bush!"
    And I wonder why,
    You say "He lied!"
And I remember 9-11 and those who died
    You respond "He's killed millions!"
And I think with awe Saddam massacred trillions
You say "WMDs have not been found!"
And I think of the missle pad deep underground
You yell in a fury, "He sent my family away!"
And I anger and say "There is no draft, they decided not to stay!"

This is a very thought provoking poem. You have expressed opposite views of how people view our politics and the war. This is good. I like how you have a debate of sorts within your own words and express two different, yet both very valid points of view. These issues have ongoing controversy and they certainly always will. No matter what war, no matter who is president, difference of opinion will always exist. A good write. Take care.

All I can say about this poem is, Bravo! Straight to the point. Very good structure and well written. Such a young age and have good views toward politics.

I'm against Bush so I can't say I relate although you did prove your point but then again you looked over many things such as the Gay Marriage and other numerous things; such as N. Korea being a bigger threat than Iraq ever was. & I think Saddam was proved innocent, correct me if I'm wrong.

Also about the whole last line. What they probably mean is that they [the soldiers] were supposed to stay a year there, or I don't know how much (but an amount of time) and haven't been brought back home. Also what're the causes for dying?

I loved it! You have a very talented mind, very intresting. I could not say one thing I would have diffrent, and the lines I love the most are-
You yell in a fury, "He sent my family away!"
And I anger and say "There is no draft, they decided not to stay!"
    so true...and well done.
You have a great way of speaking your mind, never repress it.

very nicely written. good structure. good rhyme, and I have to say that I agree with your views on the issue, so I can relate rather well. I really loved the last line And I anger and say 'There is no draft, they decided not to stay!" That expresses exactly what I think about people who are always complaining about their family members being over there, when they were the ones who decided to join the military, knowing full well that there is always a possibility of things happening. Anywho, I really like this and encourage you to keep up the good work. uber props!
