the question that i asked may not have an answer as such, but i guess this could be the answer to another question...what is there if there is no love?

    No dreams
    Wasted time
    Wasted breath
    Silent death.

    No calm
    Broken peace
    Broken heart
    Torn apart.

    No faith
    Empty soul
    Empty eyes
    Frail disguise.

    No strength
    Lost hope
    Lost chance
    Morbid dance.

    No respite
    Tired body
    Tired sadness
    Causual madness.

    No love
    Fallen truth
    Fallen hard
    Forever scarred.

I believe your word imagery paints a grim picture of what live would be without love successfully. The very first stanza "No dreams
    Wasted time
    Wasted breath
Silent death." was a very strong start and you concluded strongly also with "No love
    Fallen truth
    Fallen hard
Forever scarred." A creative write. `always write poetry, Cheryl.

Well, I think you have described life without love pretty good here. And the format fits with this write...nice flow and rhythm.. it reads well.
For what is LIFE, without LOVE?? - wasted, broken, empty, lost, tired, fallen... < - very good word usage.
    Nicely done!
    Take Care!
