Description:

A Poem 4

What happens when the alcohol is consumed?
You think of the past and your life resumed.

What happens when the mind goes numb?
You think of decisions made, smart...dumb.

What happens when you take a drink?
"All the things I could had done different," you think.

What happens when the heat hits your face?
"I want another... the tequilla will chase."

What happens when the rose hits your cheek?
"I love to watch your mouth...the words you speak."

What happens when the light spreads over your form?
"My eyes are cloudy, my mind, the perfect storm."

reminds me of the last poem i read of yours, A Poem {1}{now called Caroline} i believe...and now i'm checking out your page to see A Poem 4...of course i was compelled to read..
this is really good, describes the result of alchoolism...i liked the rhymes, they were in sync and not forced..really helped out the imagery of the poem...i liked the whole
"What happens when the..." on all the stanzas and a reply to each one of them...you kept it vague, which can be good, but it would be cool if you continued it...i think if you kept up with the flow you already have, it could be a lot better..it already is REALLY GOOD so you dont have to continue it... :S...ya im confused in my own mind, but i liked it...thanks for yet another great read
cheers

I like this write.. it reflects the questions in ones mind that alcohol seems to bring to the front and magnify. And it ends well too. Maybe it should be called "Perfect Storm"...
Gosh, sort of like my mind.
Just kidding (I think)..
But yeah, this says a lot, though it is short.
Take Care of YOU,
