It's short and quick. I just had a few bad times when I wrote it and I needed somehow to get them out. It's a question, I ask myself a lot when I'm like this. Should I listen, should I care?

Shadows

-------------------------------------------

Should I listen, should I care?
How his words seem to pierce me like knives.
All I can think about now is, is it true?
Do I want to continue for these other lives?
Others have no idea of these shadows inside me.
Who declines and who thrives.
Should I listen, should I care?

  good question. and i could see how it could calm you down. liked it. even though it was short, it drew out the statement you were making. well to me.

  Nice introspective piece. I think sometimes short is better. Not many of us sit down and throw all of our feeling out at once. We seem to grab a piece here, dwell, let it go, grab another piece, dwell, etc. I like how you seem to worry about others more than yourself in this poem. Hoepfully, you have balance in real life. Good read. Thanks for posting it.

  This was very short yet expressive. I think that you could have shown a little more emotion in it. It was a good piece don't get me wrong, but I feel that you were holding back some of your true emotions.
