I wrote this on a certain day of the week when as always I'm bored, tired and just plain pissed off with nothing to do
It's probably more of a vent but I don't know.

Make the font bigger!! Double Spacing Back to recent posts.

    dotsDay of the Sundots

It's the long part of the week
The time to think and reflect
People want to be kept busy, instead tradition says to rest.
    Shops and streets deserted
    No activity inside or out
The partys have all ended, everyone's alone again
The only buses that run are 'omni's'
Golf is on to Flog your mind.
I hate these days of the Sun

I could always go to Church and worship a God
Todays the day to do it
Which one would suit me though?
But to be honest I don't want to offend
    I don't believe
I hate these days of the Sun

Friends are all hungover from the weekend before this day in which to recover
The part of the week to have a lie-in
    Why? Because it's tradition
But the world isn't based on tradition anymore
When will the world wake up and see this
    Not today they're having a lie-in
I hate these days of the Sun

Sitting and betting on what the week will bring
Problems and grief are top of the list
Headaches and injuries and for some even death
It could be me this week
    No I'm not that lucky
Got work to do but can't do it today it's a day of rest so tradition says
I hate these days of the Sun

Some call it the beginning of the week and some the end
I call it that annoying bit every now and then in the middle of my day,
I say day but it could be night, these are indistinguishable as the days are so dark all the hours roll on from each other,
Time doesn't stop for anyone or thing
except for on this damn Day of the Sun

It takes so long to get through today
I just want it to be tomorrow or yesterday
Yesterday was great but it went so quickly
before I knew it it was............
This damn day of the Sun.

Pretty good, I love the raw emotion and stuff in it. Though it doesn't really flow too well. Maybe some rhymes? I don't know, I always thought things flowed better if they had a few rhymes in it.

This was really great. You put everything down to earth. This poem describes what I am like sometimes and the thoughts in my head. A lot of people have to feel this. Well...I believe a lot of people do. Anyways...good job.

This was...I need a word damn it...true I guess. I know exactly what you mean though I am sad to say that I am like those that need that day to take advantage of any r and r I can get, but i know what you mean...no one does anything, they just laze around and wait and I feel that nothing productive at all is going on and I think that it is just simply boring to rest and be lazy simply because that is the assigned day to do it...blah I am rambling a bit aren't I? But yeah I like this alot...nice point.
    Fare Thee Well
