This piece may be a little annoying to some, but it is really what is going on in my head right now!

    I'm waiting,
for what, I'm not quite sure,
    but I'm waiting.
For so long I've been waiting.

    Anticipating the day,
    knowing the day will come.
Longing for the time to come,
that is meant to be my future.

    Happiness, love...
    I don't know.
I'm so eager, so certain that the day will soon arrive.
    I'm so hopeful.

    My belly is in knots,
    the butterflies are fluttering.
I can feel it slowley approaching.
    I'm waiting patiently,
    for what...I'm not quite sure.

this poem was one of the more mysterious and leaves me thinking, could this be a soul stuck and waiting to be set free or your inside waiting for the perfect time to show. maybe im way off base but thats whats i see.

I like how you didn't detail, youre waiting for something that you dont know, so its appropriate that this should be vague. I feel this way sometimes...Keep your poetry coming, its so good!

I really liked this, aminily becuse I've felt like this many times. I liked the way you wrote this, i love the fact that this is a tad vague becuse it seemed to go along with the whole idea.

I think we all find ourselves waiting from time to time.

Typically I advise people to be specific in their work, detail out the images. Still, I like the way this poem is vague. You're waiting for something and you don't know what. The poem doesn't seem to know either and that's fitting.

Nice work. Don't wait too long to submit another!
