Broken music A beautiful tune Skipping in and out A chaotic tumble Turning distant Then loud A bitter sweet jolting From the faulty headphones A smooth voice and soft flute But the listener can’t hear Going deaf every few seconds And then regaining what they lost Broken music But who broke it? |
This is an interesting poem, I like it. I especially like the last line "But who broke it?" It makes you think. Oh, and thank you so much for your comment on my poem "Waiting". I really appreciate it.| Posted on 2006-09-03 00:00:00 | by Spiderwebb123 | [ Reply to This ] | Huh...... confusing poem. But I like the idea of "broken music". It is a cool name..... very cool. Like it could be the name of a band kind of cool! LoL Well neways I liked the poem enough. You could've made it longer, but that's okay. Either this is one of those "deep" poems, or it's not at all 0_0 I'll have to ask. But neways it's cool, nice flow, and I love the Broken Music idea/theme!!!! Good job ^_^ | ~Save the Queen~ | Posted on 2005-05-20 00:00:00 | by Save the Queen | [ Reply to This ] | I agree with ellisa. I think it is slightly unreasonable to put out a poem and say "What is this about?" Because it can be, and should be, different for each person. I can see this poem representing life. I can see it representing a relationship. A friendship. A vacation. A storm. See? So many things. But I like the idea of "broken music". I mean...broken music... it's interesting to think about. How does music break anyways? I like the title. Peace. | -LucyDiamond | Posted on 2005-05-19 00:00:00 | by LucyDiamond | [ Reply to This ] | im not going to say what i think this is...because im stubborn, but dont you think that its more valid to put a poem out there and see what people make of it on their own rather than telling them theyre right or wrong. the fact is that everyone is different and the writers intenion is not always what the reader taps into, but the memories or experience they associate. I find this far more interesting because you view an individuals response to an individuals words...rather than expecting someone out there to come up with the same ideas. i dont believe there is any right and wrong when it comes to the interpretation, just a difference between the reader and the writer (which is inavoidable) | ellisa | Posted on 2005-05-19 00:00:00 | by ellisa | [ Reply to This ] | |
