Eating at me,
every minute of the day.
Trying to reach my core.
Peeling off the bruised, hardened layers of my skin,
Trying to find the softer side.
Cutting me open,
to watch the sweet juices flow.
But they don't.
You bled me dry,
no more juices run through these veins.
no more sweetness to be tasted.
I'm empty inside,
nothing but a hollow core.
Waiting to be buried deep in the earth,
waiting to be reborn.
