Back in March, My sister took her own life. I am having a hard time dealing with this. So here I am.

For You

For you,
I would walk through Hell.
For you,
I would protect you from all harm.
For you,
I would take your pain.
For you,
I would die and live again.

When I walked through my own Hell,
Why did you not learn?
When I learned to protect myself,
Why did you not seek my shelter?
When the harm no longer had power,
Why didn't you ask me how?
When I asked for your pain,
Why did you seek no relief?
When I survived my deaths,
Why did you not see the light at the end?

For you,
I will grieve.
For you,
I will cry.
For you,
I will die a death everyday.
For you,
I will live,
While you live on inside of me.

  The main thing i got from this was the constant questioning ..Confusion ..and definatly the grief ...It's really too personal a topic for me to get too much into picking form and flow and such ...the meaning was very powerful though ...good job

  I'm really not sure what the meaning is here. I am a bit lost in the words. It almost sounds like you are speaking to an inner soul of yourself?? Many questions asked and angry too! I did like it though, I read it a few times. Take care!

  constant questioning, sounds like a painful yearn for something you can't have. I am sorry about your sister, things like that I can not explain, so you can keep on questioning, but I am afraid an answer wont arise from it, you can't let yourself hurt forever because of what she did, I can see where you would be scarred though. I hope that you keep writing, because writing helps pain, and never follow in her footsteps.

  For those that have had this kind of tragedy happen amongst their family or/and friends, this poem would mean a lot, and they could relate to it very easily. It's strange, because in a way, this poem is taking readers through the steps of your grief. From anger, sadness and confusion, to acceptance, and your willingness to move on with her living inside of you everyday. A touching poem that means a lot, to you and those around you, and even strangers. I am sorry for your loss. Take care. <3

  i liked the ending the most.especiallly this part...

I just thought that that part was the bomb.
Im srry that that happened in your life.. i kno i couldnt deal with that but hey if you need someone pm me and ill tell u lame jokes or somthing.anyways this poem is really good. i also agree with insiprid_sky.And you should read her work its amazing truly,
