I like it. I have this thing about dreams. It does seem that the ones you enjoy and want to remember are always forgotten. I dream just about everynight, they are preety interesting to say the least. The ones I remember are the weirdest ones, the ones that overflow with emotions-ones with family members and such. they're extrodinary to me. Wow.
I'm sorry but now you've triggered me to share one of my weird dreams.
It started out with me in a helicopter with two other people. I didn't know them. We were in a big city. skyscrapers everywhere, One in particular was supposed to be the corporate building of McDonalds. We saw a mcD restaurant on the roof, it had a playplace to. then suddenly we were on the ground, walking in the building. I saw Anna Nicole Smith there to the right . We said hello and goodbye. continuing forward, I saw a mcD worker. I asked her if the restaurant was open all the time. She said yes. So I went to the roof, and the restaurant was closed. I drifted into something else afterward.
Sorry for taking up your time. I have this weird tendency to tell people about the dreams I remember.
this happens to me always.. I have some really vivid dreams.. almost every night.. It makes me look forward to going to sleep.. but after an hour or so the magic is lost.. I love my dreams.. shaun
I always forget my dreams. They say we all dream, we all must or go crazy, but I remember nothing of them. Maybe, in the subconcious they are remembered.
Your poem says much in just so few words, It is a poem that causes one to think, about dreams and about what is retained of those dreams. I enjoyed this poem.
Well done on getting so much truth into four lines. This is one of those pieces of written that somehow taps into a collective subconscious and says exactly what everyone thinks but no one has ever said so compactly and beautifully.
Short, you need to pack something in here, and I have a suggestion. Not so much for you to use as to spur you to come up with something else, something besides
I forgot it.
something like, when I awoke, my dreambank broke.
which eludes to the same thing, and squeezes in a little rhyme, if you like it.
I don't know why you called this "Lost" but I like it. I love dreams - I have them quite often and quite often they come true. I also forget them a lot. Don't you hate that? In my sleep I am thinking how I want to tell someone about this great dream, but as soon as I wake up, although I remember I had a dream, I can't remember anything about it! ARGH it's so frustrating. Anyways this is a nice little poem. :) I enjoyed.
I've always said the key to effective short poetry is to say very little. All you want is one specific image. You've done a great job here, one simple thought that starts all of us thinking.
