       Just something I had on my mind. It was triggered by the user Ratiomeducet. I don't like the idea of people just pretending to write, when tthey can infact write.

    To pretend.....

    one trying to blend
    taking advantage of you as a friend
    sharing thoughts that are
    perceived to be correct and forward
    In reality they are like a reflection
    in the mirror.......... backward


    one believing something that isn't
    knowing the truth but denying it.

    Never pretend to be a writer.
    Writing is like asking for more knowledge;
    especially with poems. If you're lucky you will give some of your knowledge.
    Knowledge is real, not pretend.

    To pretend......

    It is like creating a diversion from reality.
    Created either to make things better or worse.
    Is it for you, or do you prefer reality?

    Go write something. For real, not pretend.

      But playing pretend is so fun...okay sometimes. Reality is over rated on occasion. but tis always better to live in it. Denial is such an ugly thing...

      What an interesting perspective you have here. And you're write. Pretending that you are a writer, isn't something that should be done. People should be real with their feelings and words. If they are doing it to be fake, the words just seem drab. Something that makes me want to yawn, and completely ignore it. the ending summed up the poem well, and yes it's true. :)

      I bow to your message. And I take it and think of it and get angry at the fact that certain people do pretend. The worst thing on this site isn't people writing angst. It's people who write only angst, specific angst, when you can see that they have the talent with weaving words that could extend so much farther, if only they would look that far...

    Anyway, awesome job.

      I think too many people nowadays have the actual ability to do things with words that no one else can. I also think that if you really want to be a writer, you can't force it. It has to be something that just comes upon you. The Ability to write is the greatest gift i've ever likely to be given aside from my life. its such a beautiful thing,~P

      Ah, Hmmm...
    I must admit at first i did find this piece rather insulting... But the more i read it the more it seemed like that wasnt your intention... The more i liked it too... Ah I suppose i should stop pretending, or something...

      I enjoyed this little piece. I has a good meaning, although I feel a little more clarification could be in order...
    In my humble opinion, people should never feel they have to pretend to be able to do something.
    Many can write, only few can write well. That's why I love this site. I get to hob-nob with the really great writers!
