    -------------------------------------------

I stand in the midnight rain
    Half naked
Wet and shivering with a numb cold
Just to feel the warmth of withdrawl

I soak in the midnight rain
Grasping for the world I've found in you
    To keep me whole
A shock of contentment in my coil

I run in the midnight rain
To fly among the tears of Angels
To bask in my found-again skin
    To touch the ripple

I'll lay in the midnight rain
    Just to think of you
    Your words floating through me
Just as the rain floats over me
I'm drowning in both of you

Pretty good, I can say I feel ya on this one. I'm in the rain alote myself these days and sometimes just when I think my light of love is riseing I find myself frozen in the snowy ice so brightly brought upon my weary heart. I guess when it comes to love and feelings some of us are just cursed.

What is it about the rain that makes emotions bubble to the surface? Sometimes it's rage, sometimes it's pain, sometime's love. Something about a torrential rain brings them out, exposes them, cleans them and sometimes washes them away.

    Another great one, as always,
    Steve

This is another beauty, my dear Rachel.

I don't know how many times I have found myself wanting to go out and just let the rain wash me clean. I never do, I guess it is because everyone would think it is foolish to just play in the rain. It saddens me because I have such an urge to do it, but none of the will power. Maybe I should just say f**k you all, and go with my crazy thoughts.

Thank you for another beautiful read.

    Brightest Blessings,
    Crystal

Jeezuz, this is incredibly fine, Rachel.
The images you've invoked here are wonderful, and you seem to build the tension up through the poem, as you stand, shaking off the old past,
soak, taking in the new life force you've found,
run, loving every minute of your new-found life, and
lay in it, living your life with your new-found love.

Excellent choice of metaphor, the rain is so useful in so many ways.
    Very very well done,
    Be happy
    Graeme
