    Description:
A sensitive topic for me. It still made a hopefully interesting song for you. I hope you enjoy.

    dotsDoes She Rememberdots
    -------------------------------------------

Why did you do this, was life that hard?
Was it so bad that you cried on the front yard?
Did seeing your mother being beaten by your dad
make things wind up and end this bad?
Did watching your mother return the favor to you
make you wish for death to come for you so soon?

Does she even remember her name
as she ceases all the pain
as the empty bottle of sleeping pills
and the bottle of vodka on the windowsill
watch the sun sink beneath the earth
and she feels the burning within her?

Was sneaking into your parents liquor cabinet easy?
Was telling your friends you couldn't come, cause you're busy
the truth or a substitute for the fact that you didn't want them to know
that the pain you go through was this bad, this fully thorough?
Did you even want help as you laid there with the pills from the fridge top
and you cried into your pillow as you opened the bottle with a "pop"?

Does she even remember her name
as she ceases all the pain
as the empty bottle of sleeping pills
and the bottle of vodka on the windowsill
watch the sun sink beneath the earth
and she feels the burning within her?

Did I cross your mind as you drifted off to slumber land?
Did my name you curse, did you remember to damn
my face and my life since the day I said goodbye?
When I die will you remember to say a friendly hi?
Did you consider never meeting me again as your soul burns?
Did you ever stop to realize that my world will continue to turn?

Does she even remember her name
as she ceases all the pain
as the empty bottle of sleeping pills
and the bottle of vodka on the windowsill
watch the sun sink beneath the earth
and she feels the burning within her?

So as you drift off to eternal slumber may I dare to ask?
Was I, a bastard, even worth Hell, was I worth this task?
I'm sorry that I was the catalyst, the final push over the edge
and I did remember to leave a rose for you from your fave hedge.
Sleep well sweet daughter of the earth and sky
forever will I remember why you finally died.

Do I even remember her name
as I cease all the pain
as the water and blood mix
as I drag the razor over wrist
and I watch the sun sink beneath the earth
and I feel the burning of being without her?

I think it would have made more sense if you would have said "on the front lawn", but I can see how that would screw with the rhyme. Other than that, I thought this was brilliant. You did a really great job on this. I loved it!

it was kindof scary how much i can relate to this poem. i thought it was good..some lines could be shortened a bit to make it flow better and words could be replaced to make the piece more powerful for those who cant relate as well..so they keep on reading and are absorbed into the topic. cant really say much else- it was good.
