    Your face reminds me
of the austere beauty of dream places.
Your blue eyes are like Iceland,
but you warm me with your smile.

It is true that Iceland should be called Greenland and vice-versa...however Iceland is more poetic, and, having knowledge of this land myself, I can testify that except for short periods of the year, Iceland is anything but mild. I think Iceland works well in this poem, and is certainly cold enough to not be out of place in this poem.

    Well done.

let's see, Greenland is actually covered with ice and Iceland is actually very pretty (which is it?!). is that why the reference to blue eyes and Iceland??

i think that it has potential. i dont know. it kinda seems like there are too many "thinking" words in it for such a short poem. it doesnt seem to have a balance.
none the less, it was a great read.

This is gorgeous. I think the others are just being greedy! I like it as is. Although, isn't Iceland quite mild? Or is that just the temp?

What a beautiful counterpoint between austere places and a warm smile. And the counterpoint of cold blue eyes and your warm smile.
