She's leaving Virginia -------------------------------------------
She's always wanting things she can't have.
Always dreaming of things she's never get.
She's tired of being someone's property.
She's never known the feeling of just being free.
She's hitting the road.
She's going on her own.
She's leaving Virginia.
After all that's what she wants to do.
Yeah, leaving Virginia,
forgetting about you.
Leaving behind memories trapped in stone.
By the time she returns, she hopes they'll be gone.
She's leaving Virginia; she's leaving home.
she's leaving Virginia; trying to make it on her own.
She's leaving Virginia, forget about her.
She's leaving Virginia.....
I liked this poem a lot... The repitition worked well in this poem (Which doesn't happen often)
Very good job with this poem The only problem I see with this is 'Always dreaming of things she's never get.' Is it supposed to say that or is it a typo...it doesn't really make sense..ya know? Very good job..
This reminded me of a Sheryl Crow or Tracy Chapman type song - just the flow. This sounded like a personal experience about a woman who just wanted to see life from another view point and separate herself from memories and make some new ones. Good job! Love,Peace,Joy!
