Its been awhile since I've written poems too.
July 7th: Hell Opens -------------------------------------------
Words cannot describe my emotions
I turn on the TV and there's a man
His body burned and bloodied with black eyes
He is alive and well, but he'll forever be scared
Three bombs sound in the early morning
People screaming for it to end
Babies wailing near their dead mother's side
Children crying for someone's assistance
I sit here . . . safe at home watching these images
My thoughts reflect my emotions with a slam to the ground. "Damm'it!"
I want to know why . . .Do you think it funny?
Why must you press this damned war
Happy people smile at the screen
I want to scream at them
"Why the hell are you so happy? Innocent people are dying!"
Has hell's gates opened? What more can happen?
A good and powerful poem. You have every single right to be mad; you don't even live in London. This expresses a lot of people's feelings toward wars and terrorist attacks. It's universal. This piece is very straightforward and gets the point across clear. I agree with hybridsongwrite, you have a lot of heart. ~SirensSong~
good description on london i'm guessing? it really makes me see that you have a heart, as well as the rest of us feeling the same. Anyone whos laughs at thiat [censored] should burn in hell.
