    Description:
today is our third wedding anniversary and this poem is both old and new. The first part was written as it was submitted; the second is perhaps five years old. I know for some rhyme is the enenmy, but this was meant to be traditional love poetry simply because it wouldn't come out any other way. Tell me what you think, those of you who like it. Shalom.

    I. Anniversary
    I never thought
    you could be mine
    your dark skin
    and almond eyes

    the softness of each kiss
    the pleasure of each touch
    who could imagine it
    the undertow of love?

    the maelstrom of
    a whirling dance
    a nude ballet
    a new romance

    treasures gathered
    from a whirling sea
    I scoop them up
    and sing to thee

    II. Cinnamon
    Lovely young girls laugther
    wreaths the sweet hereafter

    with a bit of bliss
    better than a kiss

    how could this domain
    ever shoulder pain

    when every lovers ache
    leaves pleasure in its wake?

The use of words is very interesting, you havn't just thrown in common every day words. You took words with a great deal of description and painted such a vivid picture in my mind. Excellent job!
